Join the National Rally for Badgers - Cardiff, 28 June 2008
Posted 5 June 2008
A rally and photo call will be held outside the Welsh Assembly Building (Debating Rooms) from 1pm on 28 June 2008 to protest against the Welsh Assembly’s decision to allow a badger cull to go ahead later this year.
Badgers have been wrongly accused of spreading TB amongst cattle and, despite scientific evidence concluding that a badger cull will make no difference to the spread of bovine TB, the Assembly appear to have been swayed by the farming lobby. There is the danger that such a pro-cull policy could spread to the rest of the UK.
After the rally, which has been organised by Viva!, there will be a talk and stalls at the nearby Future Inn Cardiff Bay Hotel (Ennistown and Emma rooms).
Transport is available from London. Please contact info@londonanimalrights.org.uk or 07899 775493 to book a place.
